DALLAS — SEPTEMBER 8, 2023 — Unleashed LGBTQ, a first-of-its-kind conference and entertainment festival creating a space for brands, artists, and LGBTQ+ professionals to connect, is excited to announce the official lineup for the first-ever Unleashed LGBTQ in-person and live event, taking place at Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas, from September 22 - 24, 2023. DALLAS — APRIL 25, 2023 — Unleashed LGBTQ, a first-of-its-kind conference and entertainment festival creating a space for brands, artists, and LGBTQ+ professionals to connect, is thrilled to announce new talent joining its lineup, including Billy Eichner and Dyllón Burnside, for its first live and in-person Unleashed LGBTQ 2023 conference, taking place at Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas, from September 22 - 24, 2023. Unleashed event organizers also welcome iHeartMedia back as media partners to activate the programming as the official audio partners for the festival’s first ever in-person event.

DALLAS, TX — MARCH 29, 2021 — Unleashed LGBTQ (UnleashedLGBTQ.com), the interactive,
virtual event tailored to the powerful and connected LGBTQ+ professional community, just concluded its successful inaugural event on Saturday night with a huge turnout of support from event attendees. After watching the final round of speakers and panels on Saturday, which included headliner superstar Carmen Carrera, attendees joined in for one more mix-and-mingle Unleashed LGBTQ Happy Hour virtual cocktail party to close the event.
Headliners throughout the event included Carrera, comedian Matteo Lane, football star Michael Sam, Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims, UK-based travel gurus The Globetrotter Guys and many, many more. Each day of the event featured a full schedule of speakers and panels, highlighted by guest moderators from top media outlets, such as Daniel Reynolds of The Advocate, Brian Schultz of Forbes.com and Eileen Shapiro of Get Out Magazine to name a few. As the event was 100% virtual, attendees were able to participate from around the globe, with attendees from the U.S, Canada, Australia, the U.K., India and more showing up to support the professional and powerful LGBTQ+ community.

Each day of Unleashed LGBTQ started with a focus on business, marketing, entrepreneurship and non- profit opportunities. Some interview highlights included Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims sharing his plans to run for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania; TomBoyX founder Fran Dunaway telling that their gender neutral-style underwear is produced exclusively in women-owned U.S. factories; and Commando co-founder Steve Levin discussing the need for outside-the-box thinking in terms of LGBTQ+ marketing campaigns.

09/08/2020 — The gay community has been through a lot of hardship over the decades, but has always managed to fight back and be heard. And that is true of Unleashed LGBTQ.
Unleashed LGBTQ was one of the many casualties of the pandemic shutdown, being forced to cancel its planned Spring 2020 event in Dallas following the deadly spread of the coronavirus. But over the summer, founder Wesley Smoot and his team have diligently worked toward connecting brands, entertainers and LGBTQ professionals in a productive and creative space back stronger than ever in 2021.
Although the exact dates and venue are still to be determined, Unleashed LGBTQ believes it is important to bring focus on the mission and goals of the event, and for you to keep it on your radar for future coverage.
WHAT IS IT?
“Our goal is to create a gay SXSW,” creator Wesley Smoot says — to create an event that will bring LGBTQ industry colleagues from around the globe, to Dallas, to see the latest in products, services, campaigns, and entertainment entering the LGBTQ market.
Unleashed LGBTQ will host keynote speakers, moderated discussion panels, and musical performances from some of the biggest names in LGBTQ film, television, and music.
WHO IS PARTICIPATING?
Curating a diverse but engaging slate of brands and presenters is foremost in the mission of Unleashed LGBTQ. Special attention has been paid to those businesses that seek out the support and engagement of the gay community, and likewise, that the gay community has been loyal and vocal in supporting with their dollars. There will be emphasis on emerging and innovative companies and brands who are interested in growing their market and reach to queer dollars and of course businesses that make products or services specifically for LGBTQ consumers.

INTERNATIONAL LEADER IN SPORTS INCLUSIVE WILL DELIVER KEYNOTE AT UNLEASHED LGBTQ
January 13, 2021 — Unleashed LGBTQ, an interactive virtual event tailored to the enormous LGBTQ community, announces that Martin Stark is confirmed to deliver a keynote address, and lead a discussion, on the topic of gays in sports.
Stark is the founder of the World Gay Boxing Championships, an inclusive, “straight-friendly” event that encourages and celebrates involving the LGBTQ community in the realm of boxing — a sport that has not been widely known (to date) for its openness to gender diversity.
“I had spoken to Martin for about three minutes before I realized he had to be part of Unleashed,” says Wesley Smoot, founder and marketing director or Unleashed LGBTQ. “His story, his passion and the uniqueness of his mission dovetails beautifully with everything our event stands for.”
