Rarely do product teams deeply consider the lived experiences of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and how their identities intersect with race, gender-identity, physical & cognitive disability, mental health, financial wellbeing and other areas that create barriers to accessing digital products. These barriers extend well beyond a moment in time, but can permeate throughout a life of feeling unseen, unheard and unsupported.

In this session, you will learn strategies to towards product equity - a journey that requires consistent and persistent work toward humanizing the experiences of historically underinvested and marginalized communities, especially the 2SLBGTQIA+ community. It’s not always the “feel good” process. It’s often thankless, resulting in disillusion, burnout, and compassion fatigue. But with buy-in, structural support, clear goals, and a little optimism, the potential for impact and innovation is endless.
